The program begins with a week-long, formal training seminar.  Upon completion of the seminar, each participant is assigned a specific area to coordinate as a field organizer for a major Democratic campaign.  Participants work closely with trained supervisors and senior consultants from the Strategic Consulting Group (SCG) to hone their skills as political organizers while working as part of the campaign team.

The program is intense.  It demands total commitment.  It is "boot camp" for politics.  That means 7 days a week, 10-16 hours a day.  Participants develop relationships that last a lifetime, both with political professionals and with other members of the program, and receive career assistance after the election.
